Adi Newton
Adi Newton stands as one of the cult figures of the original experimental electronic-industrial scene that emerged in late-1970s England.
In 1978, he founded Clock DVA in Sheffield. During the 1980s, Newton developed two distinct projects—Clock DVA and The Anti Group—which, alongside Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, and Test Department, defined the polymedia approach for the Industrial music scene.
By the 1990s, Newton sharpened the electronic, experimental, and cyberpunk dimensions of his work. In the 2010s, he revived Clock DVA with renewed vigour, expanding globally through his creative labs, Armcomm and Anterior Research.
